any vendor!

The first market in 2010 will be Saturday, June 5th!!

Saturdays will continue through

the end of October.

The first Tuesday evening market will be held

July 6th!!

Tuesdays will now be

July through September.

See you there!!

Our first market on June 20th, 2009 consisted of 14 vendors!!

Just to give you an idea, the last 2 years' markets had less

than 14 vendors during the first weeks, so this number

is quite a substantial increase.

More vendors means a larger selection for customers, for a longer

period of time.  The days of coming to the market after 10am, only

to find all the good stuff gone, are finally over!!

You can sleep in now, and still find a good selection of produce

and baked goods!!

Tuesdays used to be quite bare, however, this year we have

averaged over 20 vendors each night!!

Last year, the first 3 Tuesday mornings consisted of 6, 8, and 11 vendors.  This year, the first 3 Tuesday evenings consisted of

23, 19, and 23!!!

Now, if you can't make it on Saturday, you can still have a great

selection on Tuesday!!

you can sell it at the market!

FYI:

Andrew's Garden, out of Funk, NE, had tomatoes left over the

very first market day this year!!

They plant them in greenhouses in February, so they can bring us  fresh, ruby red, ripe, juicy tomatoes in June!!!

Also sold at the early market days in June, 2009:

Broccoli

Cauliflower

Asparagus

Lettuces

Radishes

Bell Peppers

Onions

Cabbage

Don't miss out on this good stuff next year!!

Did you know?

Heirloom varieties of produce grown by many of our vendors are more flavor and nutrient rich than produce from the corporate grocery stores.

Much of the produce found in corporate grocery stores is mass produced, bred for quick growth, and hardiness during shipping, not for flavor or higher nutrient content.

Veggies and fruits from the market are VINE RIPENED--not picked weeks early, shipped hundreds or thousands of miles, and gassed in the warehouses to reach ripeness.

Eating very small amounts of locally grown honey will increase the bodies immunity to local pollens, thus reducing your allergic reactions.  Consult your doctor before trying.

Please save your plastic bags for us!

Just bring them with you when you come to the market and give them to the manager or to any vendor.

We appreciate your help!

If you are interested in donating to our cause, we are in need of advertising, and a used laptop and printer for an on-site market workstation so customers may leave messages or orders for vendors who may not be at the market that day.

All donors will be displayed on our
